IDEAN‘s circulation systems also comprise various grades, ranging from transregional arteries to town boulevards, neighbourhood streets, and local alleys. Rather than being dedicated to movement only, IDEAN‘s streets serve as activators for urban culture by promoting a set of principles such as density, heterogeneity, openness, and accessibility. All streets are perceived and handled as social spaces with a human scale.
