Many modern trends, from new information technologies to uncontrolled markets, exacerbate societal fragmentation and polarisation. We experience these as the break up of traditional social structures (families, communities) and spaces. Ideal Sectors aim to counterbalance these egative impacts by providing various means of inclusiveness and integration for all residents: open services, collective spaces promoting opportunities for dialogue and exchange (from city squares to local e-forums), integration of the existing and the new, free and open education, skills training, and participation.
