Tali

The Tali is also an idealistic dish. At the heart of the concept is an alternative organisation of society in the form of a cooperative model. It has an active societal component, taking the role of an urban pioneer and fermenting society. As a result, the project‘s main mission is to conceive a socio-economic framework that has the capacity to transform deprived people into fully-fledged citizens, realising their right to the city. To this end the Tali offers various economic components on its plate: skills, work, housing, and education. Nine neighbourhoods feature various themes such as wood, textiles, food, arts and crafts, metals, electronics, health, agriculture, and administration. The cooperative membership includes free accommodation. Land is collaboratively owned and the community is politically autonomous and self-administered.
