This project is engaged with urbanism as a raw process with a strong intrinsic dynamism, similar to the process of crystallisation in nature. It takes an alternative position to the approach of master planning. City streets are used as the pristine veins activating urbanisation. Major tangential corridors steer urban expansion and generate opportunities for the urban fabric to unfold. The mode of urbanisation is vibrant, dynamic, and branched. The central spines accommodate the most modern state-of-the-art infrastructure and transportation modes, and density is drastically increasing towards these development corridors. The urban pattern of Hyderabad Express resembles the arm of a snowflake. Its thick urban fabric is closely interlocked with its surroundings. Nature remains very close. The fact that the city is so intense, converging at the central spines, allows large external zones to be re-naturalised and protected.
